Omnicom strikes data deal with internet giants

Omnicom, the global advertising group, has partnered with AOL, Yahoo and Microsoft to gain access to the internet companies' consumer data, which will allow it to deliver highly targeted ads.

The deals, brokered in the US, mean Omnicom's agency networks, including PHD and OMD, will have the resources to deliver highly targeted ads online, based on data from the internet companies, including users' gender, location and age.
