The Exhibition Road Show from 27 July - 4 August will feature games, music, dance, scientific experiments and debates, mass exercise classes and art displays.
It will celebrate the Games and also the £28 million redevelopment of Exhibition Road which is now part-pedestrianised.
Star Events will provide customised trailers that will hold performances and nightly ballrooms where visitors can dress up for dance nights of tango, Viennese waltzes and Scottish reels and jigs. Afteroon tea will be served at the weekends, accompanies by a Palm Court-style orchestra.
A series of road games, such as 18th century board games from the V&A's collection, will echo the Olympic Games, while weekend mornings will host mass exercise classes in spinning, tai chi, yoga and other activities.
There will be daily parades including marching bands and a carnival and music acts Eliza Carthy, Partick Wolf and Kåmmer Klang are confirmed to perform.
Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea council leader Sir Merrick Cockell said the Road Show was a result of a "commitment to promoting our people, our place and the new public space of Exhibition Road".
He added: "Exhibition Road is of national and international importance, housing iconic scientific and cultural collections. Its institutions lead research in both the arts and sciences, reflecting the legacy of the 1851 Great Exhibition."
