The RIBA can offer:
- Bespoke hospitality packages
- Olympic-themed showcase of events
- Guided tours and guest speakers to bring your occasion to
- Live screenings, sporting and musical entertainment
Its central location at 66 Portland Place, London W1 makes the RIBA an ideal gathering place and hospitality venue.
Victoria Gordon Ingram, Venue Manager for the RIBA said: "We are seeing a buoyant demand for bookings at the RIBA and the important role of architecture in the Olympics means that companies are particularly attracted to us as a venue of cultural significance. Olympic related displays and exhibitions, themed speakers and bespoke hospitality give bookers that extra impetus to host an event at the RIBA in 2012."
The RIBA offers every kind of venue imaginable inside one single, spectacular building, befitting its prestigious status as a showpiece of design and craftsmanship. This Art Deco landmark is home to a portfolio of 24 magnificent rooms, from meetings rooms and boardrooms to event spaces and a grand hall.
The RIBA suites and rooms can host meetings, conferences and receptions for up to 400 people and seated dinners for up to 250 people.
Dominating the first floor is the magnificent Florence Hall, the largest and most exquisitely decorated room in the building. Vast floor-to-ceiling windows, etched glass doors, patterned marble and wood floors and carved stone window splays set a grand and elegant scene for a huge variety of events.
The stunning windows flood the room with daylight and also open out onto the RIBA terrace| – a beautiful additional space for drinks and receptions. While the art-deco inspired central space of the RIBA is a striking, stand-alone beauty; the fully integrated audio-visual technology built into the Hall allow us to create bespoke lighting and staging sets to suit your event.
The RIBA’s impressive interiors and technology do not, however, compromise their environmental credentials. The headquarters of the RIBA is powered by 100% renewable electricity and operates a zero waste to landfill scheme with commercial and domestic recycling schemes. Its comprehensive in-house AV equipment and staging cut 'event miles' dramatically.
The detail in the building is matched by the attention to detail of our event organisers and superb in-house caterers Ampersand|, whose years of experience will guarantee an event as memorable as the setting.
