Under the deal, which runs until May 2010, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines will sponsor the Sunday afternoon programme hosted by sax player Leo Green between 2pm and 4pm, and activity includes an on-air competition, online presence and CD releases.

As part of the partnership, the singer Lulu will perform with the Leo Green Experience on the Fred Olsen Iberia Fred Olsen in 12-month sponsorship deal with Jazz FM Cruise, which leaves from Portsmouth in November

Richard Wheatly, Jazz FM chairman, said the station was delighted to be working with Fred Olsen on "this unique partnership, which will allow us to bring the on-board experience to Jazz FM".

The Local Radio Company and Guardian Media Group, joint owners of Jazz FM, agreed to sell the brand to a consortium led by former TLRC chief executive Wheatly in April, following the relaunch of the station last autumn.
