According to reports, the move by Office Depot was because of the need to consolidate its creative and media into one company. Omnicom's BBDO Worldwide, New York handles the creative work for the company.
The Florida-based company has close to 1,000 stores in North America, as well as operations in countries including Japan, France and Germany. In the UK, it owns Viking Direct. The company is the world's largest seller of office products and sells via retailer, online and by direct mail.
