Occam appoints Bagan to take on MD role

LONDON - Data specialist Occam has appointed James Bagan as managing director of the company, succeeding Scott Logie who has taken up another role.

Bagan has 15 years of commercial experience at data service companies including QAS and Harte-Hanks. He was most recently sales and marketing director at Language Line.

He will take over responsibilities from Logie who has been made strategy director.

Logie led Occam through an MBO in 2004 and will be tasked with driving the company's strategic development of the company.

Bagan said: "Occam has been through a period of tremendous change in the past year. We have restructured internally and invested heavily in our technology and our infrastructure.

"By drawing on our existing team and bringing in the right people, we have assembled a first-class blend of experience and ability.

"Our new company will be looking to solve real business problems in carefully targeted sectors where the challenges of integrating data and multi-channel communications are costing companies vast sums of money and months of wasted effort."

Occam has just opened an office in Farringdon, London and has separately appointed Ben McGinn as finance director.
