NYTimes readies paid iPad app but mum on paywall

NEW YORK - The New York Times continues to offer scant details regarding its "metered model" paywall, but has said a paid for Apple iPad app is on the way, which is due to debut in January when it is also expected the paper will launch its paid content plans.

During Q1 earnings call this week, CEO Janet Robinson said the company is looking into how and what content will be metered, and how the paywall will interact with search engines.
