Ntl expands call centre contract with ECT

LONDON - Ntl:Telewest Business, part of the Virgin Media Group, has expanded its partnership with European Computer Telecoms (ECT).

The TV and internet provider has used ETC's effECTive Network Based Call Centre product line since 2004. It will be introducing new customer services and applications for call recording to further build standards.

Andy Perrin, senior product manager at ntl:Telewest, said: "Our partnership with ECT aims to directly meet the needs of customers in specific industries including public, travel and finance."

Tamal Islam, ECT's vice president of product strategy, said: "It is no longer enough for a company like ECT to simply provide a technical solution to a customer. Instead we are providing insight into local markets."

ECT has more than 200 customers using its effECTive Network Based Call Centre products. The company is partnering with ntl:Telewest Business at the upcoming Call Center Expo in September.
