The news is contrary to claims made earlier this week by Channel 4's head of TV Kevin Lygo, who said he was in talks with Norton and Jonathan Ross, whose contract with the BBC expires at the end of the year.
Norton is reported to have dismissed the claims as "rubbish" and added that he is "annoyed" about the speculation over his commitment to the BBC when he is focused on his forthcoming commitments to the corporation.
Channel 4 has made no secret of its desire to lure Norton back after he left in 2004. He is currently presenting BBC One's 'Strictly Dance Fever', and is slated to appear in the corporation's forthcoming 'The Sound of Music' inspired reality TV show, 'How To Solve A Problem Like Maria'.
Norton joined the BBC from Channel 4 in April 2004 in a £3m deal, but has so far failed to match the impact expected. His chat show, 'Graham Norton: The Bigger Picture', failed to replicate the success of the show that made him a household name, 'So Graham Norton'.
