Beauty brand No7 and parenting website, Mumsnet, have partnered to create an event for 100 social influencers and Mumsnet users.

The event takes place at Huckletree in Shoreditch this evening (27 March) and is the first of Mumsnet’s series of bespoke influencer events for brands.

The evening is aimed at women who are thinking about returning to work or have recently gone back to the workplace after a break to have their children. The event has been designed to inspire and offer attendees a confidence boost.

Speakers include Mumsnet co-founder Carrie Longton, influential instavlogger Anna Whitehouse (aka Mother Pukka), Alice Olins and Phanella Mayall Fine (founders of The Step Up Club) and model/presenter, Jade Parfitt. The guests, recruited by Mumsnet, match No7’s core customer base.

Delegates will be able to engage with the No7 team, hear how the speakers tackled their return to work, and exchange views with other women contemplating how to make their return to the workplace work best for them.

The event will be streamed on Facebook Live and covered on Instagram, and attendees will create a buzz using the hashtag #No7Ready, blogging and vlogging about the event and their return-to-work plans and experiences.

No7 will be offering expert makeovers, and each guest will come away with a luxurious No7 goody bag. The advice and tips shared on the night will create evergreen content for women returning to work, housed on Mumsnet.

Mumsnet founder and CEO, Justine Roberts, said: "Returnships are emerging as a powerful force for attracting skilled staff back to the workplace, with more employers getting on board and the government pledging £5m in the budget to extend schemes to different industries and wider sectors of society. This feels like a great time to spread the word."

Lara Purcell, global brand director, No 7 said: "At No7 we believe that when a woman feels in control she has the confidence to go out and do anything, so we are delighted to have the opportunity to support Mumsnet users and bloggers who are returning to work. We know that beauty for many women is about more than looking pretty, which is why we’d love to give Mumsnet users the chance to hear from some inspirational women on how they faced getting back into the workplace."
