NME News Alerts will provide subscribers with an average of five breaking music news stories from NME each week, costing 25p a message.
The second service, NME Ticket Alerts, will text subscribers 30 minutes before tickets for their favourite bands go on sale.
This service will be sponsored by Miller Genuine Draft, as part of a £1.5 million sponsorship agreement. Fans will pay 25p to register to receive alerts about a particular artist and 50p a message.
Kirsten Ogilvie, brand manager for Miller Genuine Draft, said: "The NME Ticket Alerts service is an innovative tool with particular appeal to 18- to 24-year-olds."
Both services will initially be available via the BT Cellnet and Vodafone networks. Orange and T Mobile will be added shortly.
NME Ticket Alerts was trialed free before Oasis tickets went on sale last month, attracting more than 500 subscribers.
"Readers are already using NME.com to buy tour tickets and check daily news updates,
said Neil Robinson, NME's publishing and online director.
"Improving the convenience of customers' media consumption and buying habits is paramount to internet development,
he added. "And the introduction of third-party reverse billing on mobiles allows us not only to integrate our news and ticketing business, but also build instant new profitable platforms."
