Nitro's Howe to run Draftfcb

LONDON - Kate Howe, former managing director at integrated agency Nitro, has been appointed the new president of Draftfcb London. She will join the agency on 6 July.

Howe replaces Enda McCarthy, who left Draftfcb in October to join Agency.com.

Draftfcb recently hired Mark Fiddes, executive creative director, who along with Simon Calvert, head of creative business solutions EME, and Mark Young, chief operating and financial officer, comprise Howe's management team.

Before running Nitro, Howe served as group marketing director at Gala Coral Group and at Leo Burnett as managing director. She was also a board director at AMV BBDO.

Alexei Orlov, Draftfcb regional president for Europe and Middle East.  "With Kate’s background on both agency and client side, her experience gives her the leading edge our agency is looking for.  She has an in-depth understanding of clients’ needs as well as of the new breed agency we’ve been building by combining Draft and FCB three years ago."
