Nissan in luxury dealerships plan

LONDON - Nissan plans to roll out 'boutique style' dealerships when it launches its luxury marque Infiniti in the UK next year.

Nissan in luxury dealerships plan

The Japanese car manufacturer intends to create a 'welcoming, modern and no-pressure' environment in its Infiniti Centres, which feature natural materials and are modelled on a luxury 'lobby-lounge' gallery concept.

The design is intended to encourage consumers to stay longer than in other premium dealerships. According to Nissan, a pilot in Russia, where the Infiniti launched two years ago, suggests the strategy works.

The company plans to open up to 14 Infiniti sites in the UK from April 2009.
