Cooking Guide: Can't Decide What to Eat? offers Nintendo DS users step-by-step instructions for cooking a range of dishes from around the world. Users control the guide via the device's touch screen and with their voice.
The guide features 250 dishes that can be browsed by country, ingredient, difficulty level and calories. The games company is believed to be negotiating deals with cookery brands to promote the game at consumer events.
Nintendo is introducing three additional colours for the DS Lite - red, lime green and light blue - to coincide with the European launch of the game, which will be released in the UK on 20 June.
The launch follows the high-profile launch of Nintendo's Wii Fit in April, which was promoted by Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding and model Nell McAndrew. The DS Brain Training game, promoted by stars including Nicole Kidman, has also extended its reach beyond the traditional gaming market.
