Ahead of the competition, which will take place in France next summer, Nike has opened talks with shops about developing a digital experience that will engage football fans.

Last month, ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 revealed that Nike had appointed R/GA London as the retained digital agency for its European football account and chosen Dare to handle projects.

However, Nike is speaking with additional agencies about the Euro 2016 brief.

R/GA and Dare picked up the Nike business after a competitive pitch that was held in Amsterdam earlier this year. AKQA, the incumbent since 2007, also pitched.

Wieden & Kennedy Portland created a five-minute cartoon for Nike as part of its "risk everything" campaign in the run-up to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The film, called "the last game", starred Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, David Luiz and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

A spokeswoman for Nike had not responded to a request for comment by the time of publication.
