Nicky Buss leaves Red Cell for Research International role

LONDON - Nicky Buss, the Red Cell network's global planning chief, is moving within its WPP parent to become the client services director of Research International in the UK.

Her departure after three years as Red Cell's global strategic planning director comes just over two months after the network announced the hiring of Red Spider's Charlie Robertson as its chief executive.

Buss was one of a number of senior hirings made by the former global chief exectuive of Red Cell, Lee Daley.

Her appointment at Research International is part of a realignment by the company in the UK to increase the focus on key clients.

Simon Lidington, Research International's UK chief executive, cited Buss' "tremendous experience, which spans planning, strategy, consultancy and media" as the reason for her hiring.

Buss said: "I look forward to being part of a company that really values its partnership with clients and which is in such a great position to drive client growth."
