
The competition will run in all 450 stores and runs around a joke competition with winners offered the chance to appear on the channel. The promotion runs from June 15.
To enter consumers need to spend £10 or more on SpongeBob licensed products available in-store. They will then be given a competition card carrying an exclusive code allowing access to a bespoke microsite.
Marketing support will include TV, print and in-store advertising. Five winners will receive the chance to appear on Nickelodeon UK channel with runners-up receiving goody bags and DVDs.
This is the tenth anniversary of SpongeBob’s launch. To celebrate this including an experiential campaign around UK shopping centres as well as an appearance at music festival Camp Bestival.
Nickelodeon claims SpongeBob is one of the UK's best selling kids properties for children aged from 6 to 12.
