The industry X Factor-style competition will provide the entertainment at the annual Event magazine Christmas party.
A collaboration between UBM, Sternberg Clarke and Event, The Next Big Thing has seen its finalists make the semi-finals of both the X Factor and Britain's Got Talent.
The judges for this first heat will be British Airways event manager Lynden Bugler, Haymarket Events group event manager Liz Lockard, Sternberg Clarke managing director Adam Sternberg and Late Night London sales director Rupert Macfarlane.
Party-goers will be given the opportunity to vote through two acts into the semi-finals of The Next Big Thing, which will take place at International Confex from 4-6 March in Excel London.
The acts will all be battling it out for a £1,000 winners cheque and a year's contract with entertainment agency Sternberg Clarke.
