
The city-focussed paper had previously enjoyed 4 months of figures above the 100,000 mark and though July was down 14.7% month on month, the company has maintained its overall trend of increasing the paper's circulation.
The only other free paper to experience a circulation increase was News International's thelondonpaper, which reported a marginal circulation rise month-on-month of 0.6% to 500,348, though it was down slightly on the year by 0.1%.
Associated's Metro London - the capital's largest free newspaper - recorded a figure of 732,337, down 1.65% year on year. Nationally, Metro was down in July by 1.97%, year on year, to record a figure of 1,331,806.
Metro's Associated stablemate London Lite also suffered a fall, albeit a minor one - it was down 0.11% year on year to 400,347 copies.
