Safeway has signed up Virgin.net as its official ISP partner. The deal will see Virgin.net CDs distributed in Safeway's 479 UK stores, supported by in-store marketing and sales events throughout the year. Safeway is the first grocery store with which Virgin has linked. It already has similar deals with household goods chain Robert Dyas and Virgin Megastore.
