New York sports legends go to bat for victims of domestic violence

The Yankees, the Mets and the entire NY sports community took part in an advocacy campaign by Blonde+Co

Athletes from the Yankees, Mets, Liberty, Cosmos and other New York City sports teams star in a series of anti-domestic violence PSAs aimed at their fans. The 30-second digital spots from agency Blonde+Co feature Yankees manager Joe Girardi, the Knicks’ John Starks, Jeurys Familia of the Mets, the Liberty’s Kiah Stokes, the Cosmos’ Lucky Mkosana and Rangers Hall of Famer Rod Gilbert, as well as New York City Council member Melissa Mark-Viverito. They encourage viewers to wear purple in support of the cause and share photos on social media with the hashtag #NotAFan. The campaign will run on each team’s website and social accounts, on local sports networks and in taxis. OOH activations will also appear in stadiums and Times Square.
