New venue of the week: The Secret Garden

What’s it got? Each summer The Montague on the Gardens Hotel in Bloomsbury unveils a new design for its secret garden. For 2012, it has been made over by leading florist and fragrance designer Kenneth Turner, complete with its own Pimms Bar and barbeque area. The covered space can hold up 70 guests standing, and can be used in conjunction with the adjoining conservatory which leads into the main bar and restaurant, providing additional standing space for around 30 guests.

Anything else? The hotel’s terrace is also available for hire and hosts daily Best of British afternoon teas.

Preferred supplier list? The hotel offers catering but external entertainment is welcome.
