William Hill

Most read: William Hill launches frenetic ad

William Hill is taking a different approach to that of its rivals, with three spots by Bark&Bite, a creative and post-production company that's now the bookmaker's only retained agency in the UK. The first in the series launches this weekend.

The ad, 北京赛车pk10's James Swift writes, "is a frenetic mixture of football, cartoon explosions and aggressive cut-away scenes combined with an electro dance sound track by Knife Party."

William Hill's marketing campaigns chief Pete Spiers told Marketing Magazine's Shona Ghosh: "One aspect of our brief [to Bark&Bite] was that if you were standing in the pub, and you heard the music, you’d be compelled to turn your head and watch the screen."

Here's the ad, which will air on Sky Sports on 23 August, during Chelsea’s Premier League football match against West Bromwich Albion.

Slow Down GPS

Innovations: A sat nav app that speaks in a child's voice when it's near a school

Here's a creative idea we like from Swedish ad agency  for If Insurance. They've released the free "Slow Down GPS" app, which aims to affect a driver's behaviour with some emotionally resonant cues. When the car is in an area with a school or day care centre, the voice of the sat nav changes to that of a child.

At the moment, only the Nordic region is covered. The agency is also looking into how to track the performance and effectiveness of the app.
