Emap, which owns magazine, radio and online media, sees benefits in tying up with O2, which has international text-messaging capability.
Clubbers arriving in the 'white isle' with O2 phones will receive a Mixmag-branded text service giving them hot tips on clubs, DJs and nice beaches.
The two companies will produce Mixmag/O2 Little Book of Ibiza, a 52-page booklet with information on nightlife, which will be distributed free in Ibiza during July.
O2 is also sponsoring Emap-owned Kiss 100's House Nation programmes and there will be a co-branded O2, Kiss 100 and Mixmag mini web site to tie all the activity together.
"We have jointly developed a highly interactive multi-media campaign that promotes O2 services, said Jane Kesley, Emap's director of cross media.
Laurence Alexander, chief executive of O2's online business, added: "O2's partnership with Emap demonstrates our ability to provide topical and entertaining content across multiple applications, whether in the UK or roaming abroad in Ibiza."
