The organisers, who already hold The Group Leisure and Travel trade show at the Birmingham venue, decided to move the exhibition to enable it to expand and attract more visitors.
Show director Graham Yandall said: "The Meatup exhibition is the only dedicated exhibition of its type serving the UK meat industry and we are serious about its future. Moving the show to the NEC sends a signal and makes it clear that we plan to grow and develop the exhibition for both visitors and exhibitors".
NEC senior account manager Jane Nicholls added: "YPL Exhibitions and the NEC have been working together successfully for a number of years, and it is fantastic to be able to now work on a new launch with them. We are committed to making Meatup 2013 a productive and market-leading event in partnership with Graham and his team."
All sectors of the £24bn UK meat industry will be represented at the show and this year’s event welcomed more than 2,000 visitors.
