The event is relocating from Coventry’s Ricoh Arena to "continue its rapid expansion", organisers say.

The move follows several other events that have recently switched from the Ricoh Arena to the NEC, including TCT live and MM Live.

euroLED is organised by Birmingham Science Park Aston (BSPA), and is expected to attract more than 2,000 leading figures in the lighting industry from around 30 countries.

BSPA events manager Michelle Cleaver said: "The space and flexibility on offer at the venue, combined with excellent national and international transport links, means that the exhibition and conference can accommodate the growing band of delegates who want to be first in line for news and information about LED and solid-state lighting."

euroLED will occupy a 3,000sqm exhibition space within one of the halls, with the conference element taking place in the NEC’s largest space.

NEC new business account manager Sarah Curtis said: "We are very pleased to be hosting such a prestigious event. The client saw the NEC as an attractive place to grow for the future and we will be delighted to assist in the expansion of one of the leading calendar events in this innovative industry."
