
The new senior management position has been created to support the ambitious growth plans of GCC, which includes extending its venue management contracts internationally, launching the Vox conference centre at Resorts World in 2015, continued management of the CCD and maintaining the presence of the International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham.
Boyle has been a key member of the CCD since 2009 when he took on his initial role as director of events and hospitality, spearheading operational mobilisation ahead of the venue’s launch. He then progressed to event operations director at the CCD. As part of his new role Boyle will split his time between the CCD and ICC.
Boyle said: "I’m delighted to join the GCC senior management team as director of event services. I am passionate about customer service and relish the opportunity to use the experience I’ve gained at the CCD to support all of our venue teams to be the best in class."
