ComCab won the contract after a competitive tender process in a deal designed to keep the flow of taxis to and from the NEC more regular.
For customers that have already booked external taxi firms two new ranks have been created.
"With thousands of visitors travelling by taxi to the NEC each week, we wanted to ensure consistently high levels of service that enhance the experience of everyone arriving or departing the site," said NEC property manager Richard Campbell-Kelly.
Separately, visitors to the Birmingham-based venue will have the pleasure of using bins that have been recycled from bins. 400 NEC bins were sent to a chipper, before being processed and moulded into 400 new recycling bins.
"Working with the NEC’s Cleaning Manager Paul Jenkins and his team we have been able to design and manufacture this Arena Recycling Bin specifically to meet their needs of flexible use, stacking and storage," said NEC managing director Kathryn James.
"In addition, the fact that Leafield Environmental was able to recycle the old NEC bins and use the material in the new product means that there has been no landfill waste impact from the transition."
