NBA House attracts 53,000 fans during Games

The National Basketball Association (NBA) saw more than 53,000 fans visit NBA House during the Olympics.

It also engaged more than 20 million fans on social media through the league’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

The interactive fan experience was housed at Covent Garden’s Jubilee Hall from 3-12 August. It included a Cisco ‘slam cam’ video, allowing fans to slam dunk and share their moment via Facebook; the Gatorade reaction challenge where fans tested their reaction times against the pros; and a Sony Playstation Vita lounge.

The house also had a half-court where fans could compete in a series of skills competitions, and featured 14 clinics and skills sessions, all of which focused on teamwork, leadership, and healthy living.

The NBA collaborated with agencies Ignite and Flourish to bring this house to London – the first of it’s kind for the brand in the UK.

Benjamin Morel, senior vice president of NBA Europe, said NBA House brought a first-hand NBA experience to fans of all ages in the heart of London.

"This interactive event captured the excitement of our league, teams, and players in a truly iconic location, hosting fans and guests from around the world in a celebration of our global sport," he said.
