Nationwide backs Football League websites

Nationwide is resurrecting its links with the Football League by agreeing a three-year deal to sponsor official club websites.

The six-figure partnership comes three months after Nationwide's title sponsorship of the three-division league came to an end. The bank was replaced by Coca-Cola, which struck a £15m deal following last-minute negotiations.

Nationwide's latest agreement is with FLPTV, the joint venture between the Football League and Premium TV. The latter handles digital marketing and advertising rights for 75 clubs in the Premier League, Football League and Nationwide Conference.

Separately, Nationwide is taking a 50ft flag around every Premiership and Football League ground to support its sponsorship of the England football team.
