National Trust appoints DMS to expand fundraising

LONDON – The National Trust has appointed direct marketing agency DMS as it seeks to expand its direct marketing fundraising programme over the next 12 months.

The agency will work on key regional and national projects throughout the rest of the year as well as initiatives such as the conservation of Tyntesfield, the Neptune Coastline ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 and the Christmas donor appeal.

The National Trust began working with DMS in September last year when it created an appeal to raise funds for Prior Park wilderness garden, part of the 18th century landscape park designed by Alexander Pope, situated near Bath.

Guy Harris, director of planning at DMS, said: "We're delighted to be working with the National Trust on projects like Tyntesfield, its approach to conserving this property by training a new generation of skilled craftsman shows an exciting blueprint for all major National Trust projects."

DMS is one of two direct marketing agencies appointed by the National Trust. Last week, it was reported that the charity had also hired Domain to target members and non-members to donate money towards various renovation projects such as The Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales.

The National Trust was founded in 1895 to preserve places of historic interest or national beauty.
