This year's campaign will follow the same structure, with four consecutive weeks celebrating the conferences and meetings, exhibitions and experiential, outdoor, music, sporting and cultural and corporate hospitality sectors.
The initiative helped Britain for Events achieve a record promotional month in 2014; its Twitter handle reaching 2,500 followers through the National Events Month hashtag #NEMO. Overall the Britain for Events campaign has now engaged more than 750,000 event organisers in the UK alone.
The success of last year’s #NEMO has attracted a host of new supporters, including Cvent, venuefinder.com, International Confex, and IMEX.
"Britain for Events continues to make steps to grow the UK events industry's profile and international competitiveness, but with #NEMO, we have a brand that really engages event organisers," said Alistair Turner, campaign director, Britain for Events.
"Event organisers love that we’re out there waving the flag for their industry, and they are right behind us again this year."
