LONDON (Brand Republic) - Media group Bertelsmann and online music company Napster are poised to announce a new system of legally distributing music over the internet.
Bertelsmann recently dropped its copyright infringement lawsuit against Napster and agreed to work with the company to develop a subscription-based music-swapping service.
Andreas Schmidt, chief executive of Bertelsmann鈥檚 e-commerce division, said that the two companies have now worked out a legal model and were finalising the details of the system.
