MTV loses digital chief

Angel Gambino, MTV Networks' digital head, has left the company after less than two years in the job.

As vice president of commercial strategy and digital media, Gambino was responsible for the launch of MTV’s user-generated content site Flux, its biggest online venture to date.
MTV indicated it would split Gambino’s duties between three separate posts of head of digital, commercial and strategy.
Gambino had reported to Michiel Bakker, chief executive of Viacom UK, and had also developed video-on-demand content around MTV shows such as Punk'd and Pimp My Ride.
Gambino, who was previously controller of business development and emerging platforms at the BBC, has not revealed her plans.
