MTV House is a new social networking and entertainment site that will feature MTV content, exclusive videos, reviews and news. Users create their own MTV character to explore the virtual world of MTV House, and interact with different characters.

The second service to launch, a support portal at www.mtvi.co.uk, is an ad-free site which partners with like-minded organisations and offers young people support and advice on drugs, anti-violence policies, and mental and sexual health. MTV is working in partnership with Big White Wall, Frank, Urban Concepts Don't Trigger, and The Terrence Higgins Trust. The site will be updated regularly by MTV with additional information and new topics with youth-related issues.

MTV UK has also signed a multi-platform deal with The Official UK Charts Company, which will make MTV UK the only place in the UK where people can see the complete rundown of the weekly Official UK Chart data. The deal includes streaming and publishing rights for TV and online, as well as mobile publishing rights.

The new deal kicks off with the premiere of the Official UK Top 40 on VH1 tonight [21 July], and will then air across MTV network channels throughout the week.
