The MTV coverage will feature a series of interviews with all of the nominees, including Kate Nash and The Pigeon Detectives, and live performances from The Twang, The View, The Maccabees, The Wombats, Frank Turner and Air Traffic.
The event, which was hosted by Xfm DJ Alex Zane and took place in Camden's Koko on January 16, was focused on just one award -- the Debut Album of the Year Award, which was won by The Enemy for their album 'We'll Live and Die In These Towns'.
Richard Mintz, Xfm's marketing director, said: "The New Music Award is a great example of Xfm content that works across different media platforms. Our ongoing relationship with MTV Two allows us to showcase this content to a whole new national audience."
Virginia Monaghan, MTV UK & Ireland's director of music channels, said: "Our continued relationship with Xfm is great, as we're both really passionate about new music. With the Xfm New Music Award, we're able to offer both our audiences the chance to share in the success of the new talent recognised at the ceremony and the general celebration of new music."
