Yahoo! Europe has made Jon Gisby managing director of Yahoo! UK & Ireland and vice-president of media, Europe. He has been acting MD since December. The new European responsibility means that Gisby will also head the content and product innovation divisions. Before joining Yahoo! in 2004, he was MD of portals. He also held roles at icircle.com and Wanadoo.
