
Bacardi's former global marketing director, Stella David, has rejoined the company as a board director after seven years as chief executive of rival spirits company William Grant.
Rodger Stanier, the ex-creative director and founding partner of the Leith Agency, is returning to Edinburgh to take up the post of lecturer in creative advertising at Edinburgh Napier University. Having recently worked in top ten agencies in London, Stanier will lecture on the MSc Creative Advertising, Scotland’s only postgraduate course in advertising.
Now has hired Harv Bains, a former creative director at Brothers and Sisters, into the same role, and Iris Worldwide’s deputy head of TV and content Jeremy Muthana as head of film and content. They report to Now’s executive creative director Remco Graham.
Emma Mainoo, marketing and business development director at MediaCom Beyond Advertising, is joining Sunshine’s management team as business partner. Her remit will be developing client relationships. She will join managing partner Nadya Powell, business growth partner Gemma Knox, and strategy partner Jenny Howard.
Martin Luck, head of TV for creative and brand solutions at Bauer Media, has joined 4Sales as sales development lead. He reports to agency principal Chris Braithwaite. Luck has been tasked with "forging relationships with clients and agency buyers to increase investment".
Caspar Schlickum, the EMEA chief executive of Xaxis, has been appointed as the CEO of Wunderman for the Asia-Pacific region. Beginning in September, Schlickum will be responsible for developing and expanding the agency’s offering with an emphasis on digital and data-driven marketing.
Schlickum succeeds Martin Conneen who is leaving the company to "pursue new opportunities", Wunderman said. Conneen worked with Wunderman for a decade and was president of Asia-Pacific for two years.
Iris has made a string of hires and internal promotions within its planning team. Ben Essen, the head of planning, has been promoted to executive planning director and will focus on developing thought leadership and strategic thinking.
Essen has been replaced by Sophie Lewis, strategy partner at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO, who will work with Essen and Iris’ deputy global chief executive, Sam Noble, as well as running the 20+ strong London planning team.
Meanwhile Richard Edwards takes on the role of group planning director and strategic responsibilities for Wickes, among other clients. Most recently he was joint head of strategy at Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R.
Creative agency Above & Beyond has hired Tom Bedwell as client services director and will report to Zaid Al-Zaidy, the chief executive and his former boss at McCann London.
Bedwell leaves McCann after two years in client services and had overall responsibility for account management and the agency’s MasterCard account, as well as all of its content marketing around the sponsorship of the Brit Awards and the Rugby World Cup.
