Dale joined Motorola four years ago. He was responsible for the brand's advertising, its recent collaboration with David Beckham and the Motorola Red campaign, a partnership with Bono's Red brand.

His role is being handled by the company's senior vice-president and business general for Greater China Bruce Brda while it seeks a replacement.

Earlier in the month Motorola's UK marketing director Rachel Ward left the company as part of a restructure of the mobile manufacturer's marketing team and ongoing global redundancies.
