Other well-regarded UK campaigns featuring in the shortlist include Mother’s Orange Spot, and Stella Artois 4%; BBH’s waterslide for Barclaycard and Levi’s secrets and lies; Saatchi & Saatchi’s T-Mobile dance (a presence in almost every Lions shortlist).

Carousel, the internet film tipped for the top prize, is also on the list. Although entered by Tribal DDB Amsterdam for Philips, the ad was overseen by DDB London.

Not counting carousel, the UK has pulled in 41 film finalists from a total of 260 now fighting for gongs.
