Mook wins Vivienne Westwood website job from V&A

LONDON - The Victoria & Albert Museum has appointed Mook to create a new website for an exhibition devoted to the work of the fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, the largest dedicated to a British designer to date.

The retrospective launches on April 1 and will feature more than 150 designs showcasing Westwood's work, spanning from her punk connections in the 1970s to her present haute couture creations.

has been briefed to build a site backing the exhibition, the first phase of which will launch at the end of January.

Jess Goodall, joint creative director at Mook, said: "Pictures of key designs by Vivienne Westwood in the exhibition will be the focus of the website. There will be simple typography and a vibrant, uncomplicated feel."

The exhibition will draw on the V&A's collection as well as items from Westwood's personal archive. She made her name designing outfits for the Sex Pistols but is latterly known for her grand ballgowns inspired by historical art and costume.
