Moneysupermarket.com Group has appointed Andy Hancock as chief customer officer, replacing Darren Bentley.

Currently managing director of money, and the publishing unit of MoneySavingExpert, Hancock has been at the group since 2014 and officially takes on his new position on 23 April.

In his new role, Hancock will add marketing and customer services to his existing responsibilities, which include driving digitisation of mortgages through joint venture Podium and leading MoneySavingExpert publishing. He will continue to be a member of Moneysupermarket.com Group's executive management team.

Bentley left the business last month to join a start-up. The company also announced the appointment of Lloyd Page as marketing director.

The main brand has just launched a new positioning and campaign by Engine under the banner "Get money calm", marking a departure from its previous advertising by long-standing agency of record Mother. Moneysupermarket has also revamped its logo, visual identity, website, app and CRM programme. Engine was appointed to the account last year.

Hancock said: "This is an incredibly exciting time to become chief customer officer, as we enter the second year of our 'reinvent' strategy and start to deliver on our brand promise to make our services more proactive, personalised and painless for our customers.

"Moneysupermarket’s recent brand relaunch has given us a fresh platform to engage customers with new services, such as credit monitoring and bill management, alongside traditional switching and saving. I’m really looking forward to working with our talented team in London, Manchester and Ewloe to deliver the next wave of innovation in price comparison."

Hancock joined MoneySavingExpert in 2014 as chief operating officer and was promoted to managing director in 2015. He was previously head of ecommerce, trading and commercial at DMG Media.
