Mobile social network adds channels

LONDON - Mobile social network itsmy.com, owned by mobile community content company Gofresh, has launched a user-generated mobile TV service.

Itsmy.com's mobile community members, who have at least 10 content items such as pictures or videos on the site, can create their personal mobile TV channel, combining user-generated content with ready-to-use professional sound files. Users can then give the content one of 10 different TV themes, such as comedy.

The business now claims to be able to offer 100,000 personal mobile TV channels for its most active customers.

Itsmy.com allows each user's mobile TV clip to last between 30 seconds and two minutes. Clips can be viewed by streaming or download from the mobile site. Users can also promote their shows by sending out invitations to friends via SMS or e-mail.
