The 8.4-inch by 5.8-inch "clinger" includes characters from the UIP film, which features the voices of Ben Stiller and 'Friends' star David Schwimmer and is released on July 15.
The deal was brokered by Susan Nuttall, creative coordinator with IPC's insert sales department Innovator, Zed senior planner/buyer Tom Jackson and Ron Rubinoff, president of US firm All Things Cling.
"The 'Madagascar' clinger is a prime example of the standout that can be achieved when creativity and technology are combined. This is the first time that a clinger has been used in the UK media and we were really keen to get it out there," Buttall said.
The clinger is included in the latest issue, which goes on sale on June 29 and is promoted on the front cover and contents page.
'Madagascar' is about four African animals from Central Park Zoo in New York, who find themselves stranded on the island of Madagascar off the coast of Africa.
The movie features Chris Rock as a zebra called Marty, Ben Stiller as the voice of his friend Alex, a vain lion, Schwimmer voices a neurotic giraffe and Jada Pinkett Smith as big hippo.
"We wanted to do something that was both interactive and retainable to the readers of Mizz as well as raising their awareness of the upcoming UIP release. The static clinger was just the ticket for this film and to be the first one in the UK adds another element of excitement to the film launch," Jackson said.
