Mirror Group promotes Nolle in reshuffle

Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), the publisher of the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror, has promoted head of strategic sales Yvon Nolle to the new role of head of newspapers, as part of a rejig of its commercial offering.

Nolle joined MGN in 2008, in the role of head of strategic sales. He had previously spent eight years at News International, where he was head of retail advertising.

MGN's strategic sales role, heading up three people, involves working closely with the Mirror's clients on planning campaigns and strategic issues.

Nolle's promotion to the role of head of newspapers means that the MGN's 15-strong display team will report to him. His old role in effect becomes redundant.

It is thought display previously reported directly to David Emin, director of advertising.

Emin will continue to head the commercial department, but has now devolved more responsibility to Nolle.

Nolle will continue to report to Andy Whelan, head of trading. Whelan, whose position has not been affected, reports to Emin.

It is understood the changes have not prompted any redundancies.

Mirror Group Newspapers publishes the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror and The People, as well as Scotland's Daily Record and Sunday Mail.
