
Cotterill, who reported to Andy Whelan, the group’s head of trading, has left her role as head of newspapers, a job in which she headed up display sales working across the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror titles.
It is not known if she is leaving with a job to go to.
MGN is now seeking a replacement.
Cotterill became head of newspapers in 2006 as part of a shake-up of the group’s commercial department. She had previously held the position of head of key accounts at MGN.
Last month, MGN parted company with MGN confirmed Cotterill's departure.
