Lewis joined Yahoo! as head of agency sales in July 2006, having held the same position at online rival AOL.
His departure follows that of Blake Chandlee, who left to take up the role of UK sales director at social network Facebook, less than a fortnight ago.
Yahoo! has placed VP for northern Europe Glen Drury and VP of sales for Europe Javier Zapatero in temporary charge of media sales in the UK.
Lewis’s departure came as Yahoo! unveiled its worldwide financial results for the third quarter of 2007, which were met with mixed reactions by analysts.
Revenues at the online giant during the quarter were $1.58bn (£775m), while profits were down 5% compared to the same period in 2006 to $151m (£74.2m).
Separately, Yahoo! Europe has created a new division to oversee sales and partner relationships. The division will be headed by Rich Riley, currently senior VP of Yahoo!’s online channel division, based in the US.
