Microsoft begins its pounds 2m, pre-Christmas advertising push this
week, with a campaign produced by a group of six above- and
below-the-line agencies, co-ordinated by ad agency Euro RSCG Wnek
Gosper. Six-sheet posters will attempt to whip up consumer enthusiasm
for the software giant’s latest releases, including Microsoft Encarta
Reference 99 and Windows 98.
The posters will be complemented by radio ads by Evans Hunt Scott,
regional radio promotions organised by PR agency The Red Consultancy and
an online campaign by AKQA.
Mediapolis was responsible for media planning and buying, while Creative
Direction produced point-of-sale material.
