The eight-week campaign, Iconic Britain, asks users to submit and vote for their favourite UK images, which they are encouraged to submit by searching and uploading from Live Search.

Voters will have the chance of winning a range of prizes provided by camera manufacturer, Nikon.

A panel of celebrity and expert judges will be brought on board in the final stages.

The campaign will also be integrated across the MSN network, driving further awareness of Iconic Britain across the MSN portal and Windows Live platform.

Users will be able to access the site via www.IconicBritian.co.uk - created by creative agency Thin Martian - as well as the Windows Live channel of the MSN portal.

Cynthia Crossley, UK director of search, said: "We've created a really compelling campaign that we're hoping will excite our users and drive traffic and query volume."
