MGM to make digital novel into TV series

LONDON - Hollywood studio MGM has acquired the rights to turn UK digital novel, The Many Worlds of Jonas Moore, into a TV series.

The digital novel, which is set in a virtual world and features British actor Colin Salmon, combines comic book illustration, 3-D animation, live action photography and newsreel archival footage.

Chris Ottinger, executive vice-president, worldwide television, MGM, said: "The Many Worlds of Jonas Moore is an exciting digital graphic novel that's creating quite a sensation abroad.

"We see this as a great concept that will make an exciting series for worldwide audiences."

The novel claims to be revolutionary in online branded entertainment and user-generated content, as it invites users to become part of the entertainment by downloading digital elements and animating their own stories to be incorporated into the show.

The novel has been developed by Factory Publishing. Previews of the digital novel can be viewed at www.jonasmoore.com and www.factory-publishing.com.
